About the scenarios
The tournament will be map based.
According to the background story the Conclave
of Light (or what's left of it) will try to push
back the forces of chaos from their positions
after the Storm of Chaos. Every team chooses
which side to support. At the start of the event
they will decide where they want to start the
campaign. The possibilities are Murmograd,
Krakjunov or Mazhorod.
The team captain will decide between every
round, where the team wishes to march, which
battle would they like to participate in. Also
he will ask every team member whether they wish
to play the base scenario or the special
scenario.
Between every round the team will be able to
choose between three places. At every battlesite
there is a possibility to play the base scenario
which will be the same for everyone in any given
round and will be from the WH rulebook or will
be very similar. (For example: pitched battle,
meeting engagement, etc.). The only difference
will be that each scenario will have a mighty
victory condition.
The special scenarios will be something extra,
since the players wished to play this.
Conquering villages, sieges and all sorts of
special rules can be expected. Opponents will
only play a special scenario if both of them
selected to play the special scenario. If
someone chose to play the base scenario then he
will certainly not be forced to play a special
scenario. If someone opted for the special
scenario, but there are not enough opponents to
play the special scenario against then he will
play the base scenario. When pairing opponents
it will count very little whether your
supporting the good or evil side, for the most
part it is just for the background story.
The pairing will be based on the Swiss system.
If at one location one side or the other wins,
then the teams that fought here and won will
receive special event cards that they can use in
the following battles. The team captain will
distribute these. The special scenarios will be
worth a little more when determining the winner
at a location.
